DIY KIT 14- Jaycar’s ‘Jiminy The Cricket’ project

This post shows how to build Jaycar’s JIMINI THE CRICKET DIY KIT- PROJECT SC2 #14. It takes around half an hour to build this kit. It is basically a sound sensor.

When there is a noise/sound close to the electret microphone, the circuit turns on the two LEDs and produces a chirping sound.

There is a small speaker that outputs the sound of the circuit. It is very sensitive to noise or any other surrounding sounds. This kit is good for electronics beginners and extremely easy to build.
